Job Title: Nurse Manager

Departments: Psych Adolescent D3, Chemical Dependency D4, Adult Psych C4, Emergency Psych Unit (BED)

Reports To: Director, Behavioral Services

FLSA Status: Exempt

Approved: April 2024

Summary

The Nurse Manager is the clinical and administrative leader for a nursing patient care unit and has 24-hour/7-day accountability for operational excellence. The Nurse Manager is accountable for financial and quality outcomes and will operate in a clinical role as needed for patient care.

Job Requirements

Job Knowledge and Skills

• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training is preferred at hire or obtained before completion of orientation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school required.
• Current Maine RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of Behavioral Health Clinical experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
